The phone comes first

Most hires still start with a call. Taking one — caller, vehicle, dates, deposit — is the fastest thing in the product. Online requests feed the same diary rather than living in a separate system.

The database is the rule, not the screen

A vehicle cannot be double-booked, a customer's mobile number cannot be duplicated, and an expired account cannot write. Those are constraints in PostgreSQL, so two staff on two screens cannot talk each other into an impossible booking.

Numbers are derived, never re-typed

Revenue comes from the reservations that produced it. A vehicle's utilisation is counted from its hires. Nothing is stored twice, so nothing can drift out of agreement with itself.

Your records are closed

One business cannot read another's, and neither can we. Fleet, bookings and customer details are shut off from the platform operator at the data layer — not merely hidden in the interface.

Say what is true

If a figure is unknown the screen shows a dash, not a plausible number. If something has not been set up, it says so and tells you what to do about it.
